Raveena Tandon Reveals She Shot Mohra’s Tip Tip Barsa Amidst Bleeding Knees and High Fever: ‘It was Painful, There were Bruises’
Raveena Tandon recently shared the challenges she faced while shooting the iconic Tip Tip Barsa Pani from Mohra. Despite the song’s sensual nature and the chemistry with Akshay Kumar, Raveena disclosed that she sustained injuries during filming, including bleeding knees and ankles, and a rusted nail piercing her foot.
She also mentioned experiencing a fever the next day. Raveena explained, “I had bleeding knees, ankles! I had to take a tetanus shot because a rusted nail pierced through my foot.” She added that it was painful with bruises, but she maintained a happy face.
In an interview with Galatta Plus, Raveena Tandon reflected on the challenges of filming the popular song Tip Tip Barsa Pani. She described the tough conditions, such as using freezing water from tankers instead of heated water. Shooting on a construction site made it harder, as her saree prevented her from using knee pads or wearing heels, exposing her to stones and nails. She shared that sliding on her knees led to bleeding from her knees and ankles, and she had to get a tetanus shot due to a rusted nail piercing her foot.
Despite the glamorous appearance of the song, Raveena explained that the reality was quite different. She revealed, “It looks all glamorous, you must be thinking, ‘Oh these guys must’ve had a blast’. No we didn’t. There was nothing happening there!” She described the experience as painful, with bruises and discomfort, and only her face looked happy. After enduring multiple cold showers, she developed a fever but continued working for the next three days.
The iconic song Tip Tip Barsa Paani showcased the electrifying chemistry between Akshay Kumar and Raveena Tandon. Sung by Alka Yagnik and Udit Narayan, this popular track from the 1994 film Mohra is known for its captivating melody and sensuality. Raveena’s saree in the video has become a pop culture symbol, making the song a timeless classic in Bollywood.
Meanwhile, Raveena Tandon and Akshay Kumar are gearing up to reunite for Welcome to the Jungle. This film, part of the Welcome franchise, features a stellar cast including Disha Patani, Jacqueline Fernandez, Suniel Shetty, Arshad Warsi, Paresh Rawal, Shreyas Talpade, and Lara Dutta. Scheduled for a Christmas 2024 release, it promises to bring more comedy and star power to the big screen.
