Nicole from Love Island USA Opens Up About Her Relationship Status with Kendall
“We were supposed to come out strong,” she said. “I expected problems and things being said. I just wish we had handled it honestly together.”
During the reunion episode on Aug. 19, Nicole spoke out against the leaked video and stressed that “nobody deserves that.” However, she was upset with Kendall for initially claiming the video was from years ago, only to find out from JaNa that it was filmed in a hotel just before he entered the villa.
Kendall took responsibility for the situation, admitting, “I should have been honest with Nicole from the start,” during the reunion with his fellow islanders and host Ariana Madix. He explained that he wasn’t ready to be honest in that moment because his life was turned upside down.
Kendall shared that he struggled to talk to his family about the video leak and didn’t know what to say to Nicole. In the midst of their emotional discussion, Kendall expressed frustration over how their communication had been affected by the video.
“I have been trying so hard for us,” Kendall told Nicole. “I hate that this happened and caused a breakdown in our ability to communicate.”
