According to the report, Shraddha received Rs 5 crores for her role – the second highest paycheck after Rajkummar Rao who earned Rs 6 crores for playing Vicky. Pankaj Tripathi reportedly charged Rs 3 crores, followed by Aparshakti Khurana at around Rs 70 lakhs. Abhishek Banerjee, who portrayed Jana in Stree 2, charged close to Rs 55 lakhs.
The report also mentioned that Varun Dhawan was paid a hefty Rs 2 crores for his cameo as Bhediya in this Amar Kaushik directorial. Other estimates align closely with these numbers. The latest box-office report by Pinkvilla predicts, “The film is the first blockbuster of 2024. With strong word of mouth, it is expected to cross Rs 400 crore at the Hindi box office by the end of its run.”
Produced by Maddock Films and Jio Studios, early estimates suggest that Stree 2 could be a major success story in the post-pandemic era. This horror comedy also features Atul Srivastava, Mushtaq Khan, Sunita Rajwar, and Anya Singh, along with special appearances by Tamannaah Bhatia and Akshay Kumar.
Stree 2 faced competition at the box office from Vedaa starring John Abraham and Khel Khel Mein led by Akshay Kumar, both of which are struggling at the box office.
