Jonathan Bailey Reveals NSFW Details About His TV Prosthetic Genitalia

The Fellow Travelers star—who recently received his first Emmy nomination for his supporting role in the Showtime limited series—shared insights into portraying a character across four decades. This includes his process of selecting a prosthetic penis for intimate scenes in the show.
“There are significant sex scenes throughout,” Jonathan highlighted on Late Night With Seth Meyers on Aug. 15, “which are crucial.”
Discussing how these scenes contribute to the enduring love story between his character and Matt Bomer‘s character in the show, he also discussed his options for prosthetic choices, with Seth showing a NSFW picture to the audience, humorously referring to them as Jonathan’s “stunt doubles.”
The selected prosthetic penis was a constant presence in the show.
“Many things change with Tim, the character that I portray,” Jonathan explained, mentioning that while his costume and hair evolved, “one thing remained consistent.”
