It was a sentiment they kept to themselves, as Dakota revealed, partly to safeguard Chris’ family.
“I may view relationships differently because of my upbringing,” Dakota, whose parents are Don Johnson and Melanie Griffith, shared with VF. “We were all close. Of course, there were tough times, but I saw that, so I don’t want that in my life… It’s better to be kind, and it’s wonderful that everyone truly loves each other and supports one another.”
The actress also disclosed what they cherished most about being together.
“We do go out occasionally, but with our busy schedules, it’s nice to stay home, be cozy, and have privacy,” Dakota revealed to Elle UK in 2021. “Most of the fun happens at home.”
