’19 Kids and Counting’s’ Jana Duggar Marries Stephen Wissmann in Front of 500 Guests
Jana Duggar has tied the knot with her prince charming.
Although the 19 Kids and Counting star only got engaged to Stephen Wissmann in June before their Aug. 15 wedding, the couple has a long history together.
“[The Wissmann’s] would travel and sing,” Jana shared with People about her future in-laws. “I remember them coming to our home, probably 13 or so years ago and they ended up getting snowed-in here, which hardly ever happens in Arkansas.”
Despite the age gap—Jana is 34 and Stephen is 31—Jana admitted that Stephen wasn’t initially on her radar. However, they reconnected later on.
The couple briefly dated a few years ago, and even though they broke things off, they stayed in touch and “talked to each other on and off over the years,” as Jana revealed.
Who Is Stephen Wissmann’s Family?
Although he doesn’t come from a family of 19, Stephen has 13 siblings, and interestingly, Jana’s brother Jeremiah Duggar ended up marrying Stephen’s sister, Hannah. They reconnected in early 2024, and Jana mentioned how her future husband was prepared to embrace the chaos that comes with marrying into the Duggar family.
