Vanessa Lachey Opens Up About Son’s Response to Family Relocation From Hawaii
Vanessa Lachey is showing that family is everything.
As she and her husband Nick Lachey get ready to move their family, including their children Camden, 11, Brooklyn, 9, and Phoenix, 7, out of Hawaii due to the cancellation of her show NCIS: Hawai’i, Vanessa is taking a moment to reflect on how special the island has been for her kids.
“I showed this picture to my son,” Vanessa shared in an Instagram Story on Aug. 13 featuring a pink plumeria on a wooden table, “he said ‘Wow Mom, that says so much without showing a lot.'”
When Vanessa asked him what he saw in the picture, he responded, “‘We are moving, but we are not sad. I see happiness and Aloha coming with us.'”
Vanessa was deeply touched by his words, expressing her emotions with a sobbing emoji and adding, “forever with us!!!”
The 43-year-old, who portrayed team leader Jane Tennant on NCIS: Hawai’i since 2021, said a heartfelt goodbye to the Aloha state on her Instagram post on Aug. 13, bidding farewell to the islands.
