Abhay Deol teams up with Natasha Bassett for upcoming Hollywood rom-com, “Don’t You Be My Neighbor,” expressing his excitement
Abhay Deol is a talented Bollywood actor known for his exceptional performances on screen. He has starred in popular films like Dev D, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, and Happy Bhag Jayegi. Recently, he announced his involvement in a Hollywood project titled Don’t You Be My Neighbor alongside Natasha Bassett, expressing his excitement for the opportunity.
Abhay shared the news with his fans on Wednesday (August 13, 2024) via his Instagram post, stating, “Very excited to announce this project, this script took me back to the late 80’s and early 90’s era of the rom-com. Excited to work with the lovely and talented @natashabassett and director Harry Grewal.”
In this upcoming film, Abhay will be sharing the screen with Natasha Bassett for the first time. Natasha is known for her roles in projects like Elvis and Britney Ever After. The movie will follow the relationship between Abhay’s character, Jay, and Natasha’s character, Emily, as they navigate their differences to discover new perspectives on love and life.
The production of the film is set to begin in Seattle next month, with Harry Grewal directing. The team is excited to bring this heartwarming story to life and believes that the audience will resonate with its themes of love and self-discovery.
Aside from his Hollywood venture, Abhay will also be seen in the upcoming film Bun Tikki alongside Shabana Azmi, Zeenat Aman, and Lin Laishram, directed by Manish Malhotra.
