“Brad Pitt Reflects on Understanding Mortality at Age 60: ‘You Just Become More Aware'”
Brad Pitt recently celebrated his 60th birthday, although he may not appear to be 60! In an interview with GQ, alongside his co-star George Clooney for their upcoming Apple TV+ movie Wolfs’, Pitt discussed how he has become more conscious of aging and mortality as he enters this new phase of life.
“You start to understand this idea of mortality and that it is something we all have to deal with. You just become more aware of it,” he shared. Despite the challenges of embracing aging, Pitt finds support and joy in the company of his loved ones.
Pitt also revealed that he has been living in the moment and appreciating the little joys of life lately. “I don’t know how to not sound cheesy about it, but just the air is fresh and grass is green and I’ve just kind of become that guy a little bit,” he added.
Clooney, who is a few years older than Pitt, reflected on his own experience turning 60 and having a “nice dinner” with his wife to mark the occasion. He acknowledged the inevitability of aging and the changes that come with it as one grows older.
Clooney emphasized the importance of prioritizing life over work as one ages. Both actors shared examples of individuals who have maintained their passion for creativity and life well into their older years.
Pitt recently garnered attention for his youthful appearance in his new Formula One movie, sporting a spunky hairdo that drew comparisons to his look in the 2008 film Burn After Reading. Despite his age, Pitt seems to be aging backwards.
Clooney and Pitt, who have previously worked together in the Ocean’s Eleven films, are teaming up again for the Apple TV+ show Wolfs, which also features other talented actors. The movie will premiere at the 81st Venice International Film Festival and will be available for streaming starting September 27.
