Yellowjackets Star Samantha Hanratty Announces Pregnancy, Anticipating Arrival of First Child
Samantha Hanratty is gearing up for a busy time ahead.
The Yellowjackets star recently announced that she and her husband Christian DeAnda are expecting their first child together.
“Still in shock and its been 4 months!” Samantha wrote in the caption of an Instagram post on August 12 to confirm the news. “I will be sharing more from my journey because it has been a wild one! Come follow this new adventure.”
In the post, the 28-year-old shared a personal video of herself taking pregnancy tests, with the first one showing a negative result.
“I’m just being myself,” Samantha joked in the video as she revealed a bag of multiple pregnancy tests. “This is ridiculous, I shouldn’t even be doing this.”
Despite initial disappointment, she became emotional after receiving the unexpected news. “It was negative,” she said tearfully. “I told myself not to get my hopes up.”
However, she was encouraged to try again the following week as there was still a possibility of being pregnant.
