Post Malone Believes Being Taylor Swift or Beyoncé Would “Suck”
Post Malone acknowledges the weight of fame and the pressures that come with it.
The rapper recently collaborated with Taylor Swift on her single “Fortnight” from The Tortured Poets Department, and with Beyoncé on the track “Levii’s Jeans” from Cowboy Carter, giving him insight into the realities of being a superstar.
“I can’t even imagine being at their level,” he expressed in an interview with The New York Times published on Aug. 8. “It must be tough.”
While on the set of Taylor’s “Fortnight” music video, Post Malone observed the lengths she had to go to, such as using umbrellas and drapes to prevent drones and helicopters from capturing footage.
He remarked, “That kind of pressure is immense.”
When collaborating with Beyoncé, the secrecy around her country album was so strict that they never met in person. Instead, a representative delivered the track to Post Malone’s residence in Utah, and communication between him and the Destiny’s Child star mainly took place through text messages.
