Rani Mukerji, in a statement to Hindustan Times, mentioned how proud she is to represent the Indian film industry at the Australian Parliament. She sees it as an honor to discuss the growing cultural ties between Australia and India through cinema. The actress, known for films like Mardaani and Bunty Aur Babli, highlighted the global impact of Indian cinema and its ability to evoke a wide range of emotions.
On the other hand, Karan Johar described the opportunity to address the Australian Parliament as a historic event. The Indian Film Festival of Melbourne will pay tribute to late filmmaker Yash Chopra by releasing a stamp in his honor. The festival is scheduled to begin on August 15 this year. Rani Mukerji was last seen in Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway in 2023, while Karan Johar recently produced Bad Newz.
