Flashback: Dharmendra Describes Salman Khan as ‘Emotional’ and Shares Story of Jumping Into Lake to Retrieve Camera
Dharmendra, the senior actor of B-town, has witnessed the ups and downs of the industry. He has worked with many acclaimed stars, including Salman Khan. In an old interview, he praised the Maine Pyar Kiya actor, calling him the most genuine and emotional person.
During the promotion of his 2018 movie Yamla Pagla Deewana: Phir Se, Dharmendra attended a media event with his sons, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol. He mentioned that Salman is a very good human being and that he loves him dearly. The Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya actor described Khan as a wonderful and genuine person. He also recalled an incident where Khan jumped into a lake to retrieve a fallen camera, showcasing his bravery.
Salman Khan and Dharmendra appeared together in the 1998 film Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya, where Khan played the lead hero Suraj Khanna and Dharmendra portrayed Ajay Singh Thakur. The film also starred Kajol, Arbaaz Khan, Anjala Zaveri, and others.
In 2018, Salman Khan made a special appearance in the song Rafta Rafta Medley from the film Yamla Pagla Deewana: Phir Se. Currently, Dharmendra is busy shooting for Desh Ke Gaddar and is also part of Agastya Nanda’s Ikkis, directed by Sriram Raghavan. Salman Khan is filming for the highly anticipated film Sikandar, directed by AR Murugadoss and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, set to release in the EID weekend of 2025.
