Brittany Snow Shares Her Father’s Struggle with Alzheimer’s Disease
Brittany Snow is revealing a personal struggle she has kept hidden until now.
The Pitch Perfect actress recently shared that her father, John Snow, has been fighting Alzheimer’s disease for the past few years, and she opened up about how it has impacted their once-close bond.
“I have never talked about this before, but I feel the need to do so now,” Brittany disclosed on the August 12th episode of Broad Ideas with Rachel Bilson and Olivia Allen. “My father has been dealing with Alzheimer’s for a long time.”
During their conversation about the importance of physical closeness and a sense of “home” with their male figures, Brittany shared that her relationship with her father is not the same as it used to be due to his illness, despite them being once very close in the family.
“To the extent that there is no longer physical touch in that way,” the John Tucker Must Die star explained. “There is no longer that sense of home.”
However, despite the challenges she faces, the 38-year-old expressed gratitude for the time she still has with her father, regardless of how their relationship has evolved.
