Ananya Panday admits to enjoying doing cameos in movies like Bad Newz, and reminisces about Salman Khan’s special appearance in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai
Ananya Panday has been involved in a variety of projects, including movies, TV shows, brand endorsements, and more. Along with her busy schedule, she has also been making special appearances in various films, such as the song Heart Throb in the movie Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, and more recently in Vicky Kaushal’s movie, Bad Newz.
During an interview, Ananya was asked about her love for doing cameos and whether she does them to build bonds with other actors and filmmakers. She responded by saying, “I love doing it.” She also mentioned that there’s something within her that drives her to do such things.
She referenced Salman Khan’s cameo in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and how it used to excite her to see random actors appearing in movies. Ananya also recalled the star-studded song Deewangi Deewangi from Farah Khan’s Om Shanti Om, where many celebrities shared the screen with Shah Rukh Khan.
Speaking from the audience’s perspective, Ananya mentioned how exciting it is for cinema lovers to see their favorite actors make special appearances in films while enjoying popcorn in the theaters. This excitement encourages her to make similar appearances in movies as well.
In the same conversation, Ananya expressed her interest in exploring the horror or horror-comedy genre in films. She revealed that Priyadarshan’s 2007 movie, Bhool Bhulaiyaa, is her all-time favorite and still manages to scare her. She expressed her desire to take on roles that are completely different from her usual ones.
On the work front, Ananya is preparing for the release of her movie CTRL on October 4, 2024, on Netflix. She is also busy shooting for her upcoming film, Shankara, and will be appearing in the web series, Call Me Bae.
