Pax, Son of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, Leaves ICU Following E-Bike Accident; Recovery Expected to be Lengthy
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s 20-year-old son, Pax, has been discharged from the ICU after experiencing “complex trauma” from a bike accident in Los Angeles on July 29. A source close to the family revealed to People and Us Weekly on August 4 that Pax is recovering but still has a long road ahead with physical therapy after colliding with a car while riding his electric bike.
Reportedly, witnesses told TMZ that Pax complained of hip pain after the accident and was taken to a medical facility to check for a possible brain bleed. The source expressed gratitude for the quick response of first responders and the medical care Pax received.
Following the accident, Pax remained in stable condition in the hospital with his mother, Angelina Jolie, by his side. His siblings also visited him frequently to support his recovery. The family is said to be very close.

According to TMZ, Pax was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, and it’s noted that he often rides his bike around LA without protective gear. While it’s unclear if Pax was legally required to wear a helmet, it is recommended for his safety moving forward.
Besides Pax, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt also share children Shiloh, Zahara, Maddox, and twins Vivienne and Knox. The couple has been separated since 2016 but have not finalized their divorce.

While Jolie often brings her children to red carpet events, Pax has mostly stayed out of the limelight. However, he did appear with his mother and sister Shiloh at a documentary premiere in 2021.
Jolie is known for not shielding her children from her celebrity status and has mentioned wanting them to experience all aspects of her life, including the entertainment industry. She believes it is a part of their lives but not the most important aspect.
