Chris Evans and Alba Baptista had a lovely wedding last September, with almost all of their closest friends and family gathering to witness their vows.
Unfortunately, the groom’s very best friend in the world couldn’t attend.
Although his rescue dog Dodger is usually a well-behaved boy, Chris explained in an exclusive interview with Keltie Knight of E! News that they didn’t trust Dodger to walk down the aisle on his special day. “He’s just too excited and too friendly,” Chris shared. (Catch more of Chris on E! News tonight, Aug. 1, at 11 p.m.)
Plus, all the attention should be on the bride, right?
“He wouldn’t have focused,” Chris added. “He would have wanted to greet everyone. And let’s be real, he probably would have stolen the show.”
Despite the wonderful start to married life, as confirmed by the Marvel star, Dodger still plays a significant role in Chris’s decision-making when it comes to his off-screen roles.
