Looking Back: Priyanka Chopra Responds to Kareena Kapoor Khan’s Accent Comment with a Witty Retort about Boyfriend’s Origins
Priyanka Chopra and Kareena Kapoor Khan are both prominent actresses in the Indian film industry. They appeared together in the film Don: The Chase Begins Again in 2006 directed by Farhan Akhtar.
Priyanka had a significant role in the movie, while Kareena made a special appearance as Sonia. Both actresses also appeared on Karan Johar’s chat show Koffee With Karan in separate episodes where they talked about each other.
In a 2012 episode of the show, Kareena was asked during the rapid-fire round what she would like to ask Priyanka. She responded by wondering where Priyanka got her accent from. In a later episode, Priyanka was asked to respond to Kareena’s question, and she cheekily mentioned Saif Ali Khan and his education abroad.
During the same episode, Priyanka joked about whether Kareena even had a computer when asked what she would like to steal from Bollywood stars’ computers. Kareena, on the other hand, spoke about not needing National Awards and only wanting the audience to appreciate her work.
In a later interview, Priyanka responded to Kareena’s comments regarding National Awards, hinting at sour grapes. Priyanka won a National Award for Fashion in 2010. Currently, Priyanka is working on her upcoming Hollywood film The Bluff, while Kareena will be seen in Singham Again.
