Side Effects of Taking Ozempic Revealed by Macy Gray
Ozempic is no joking matter for the comedian. Handler shared that her “anti-aging doctor” prescribed the medication without her knowing what it was.
“I didn’t even realize I was taking it,” she mentioned on the Jan. 25, 2023 episode of Call Her Daddy. “She told me, ‘If you ever want to lose five pounds, this is good for that.”
Although she gave the drug a try, Handler admitted that she didn’t like how it made her feel.
“I returned from a trip and injected myself with it,” she remembered. “A few days later, I went to lunch with a friend who mentioned feeling nauseous because she was on Ozempic. I then realized I was feeling nauseous too, but I blamed it on jet lag from my recent trip to Spain.”
In the end, Handler stopped using the medication because it wasn’t necessary for her health. She decided to give the remaining doses to her friends.
“I’ve injected about four or five of my friends with Ozempic because I didn’t want to use it myself since it was unnecessary,” she explained. “It’s meant for overweight individuals. When people come over to my house, I schedule them at specific times.”
