“I realized that gymnastics doesn’t always have to be rigid and self-critical, filled with doubts,” Jordan shared with the New York Times in 2021. “Witnessing Simone’s joyful performances made me rethink my approach. She exudes joy, laughter, and appears to be carefree and energized. I decided to adopt that attitude in my own routines someday.”
