Actor Vikrant Massey, known for his Bollywood debut in Lootera (2013), has gained popularity for his role in Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s 12th Fail. Currently, Vikrant is preparing for his upcoming film Phir Aayi Haseen Dillruba.
In a recent interview, the actor discussed moral policing in Hindi cinema and speculated that Tu Hai Meri Kiran, the famous song from Shah Rukh Khan and Juhi Chawla’s Darr (1993), would face criticism in today’s times.
Vikrant Massey’s views on Tu Hai Meri Kiran in today’s generation
During the interview with Times Now, Vikrant Massey expressed that if Tu Hai Meri Kiran (Jaadu Teri Nazar) had been composed today, the current “borderline woke” generation would have condemned it.
The actor mentioned listening to the iconic song featuring Juhi Chawla with someone at night.
If the song had been written today, Vikrant suggested, “Today’s borderline woke generation would have denounced it. Where do you draw the line?”
Vikrant’s take on toxic love and infatuation in Phir Aayi Haseen Dillruba
Discussing the portrayal of toxic love and infatuation in his upcoming film, Phir Aayi Haseen Dillruba, Vikrant shared that such love is unrealistic in real life.
The actor also expressed his concerns over moral policing invading the creative arts space, which he finds unfortunate and believes it shouldn’t be a trend.

Vikrant Massey has appeared in various films such as Half Girlfriend, Dil Dhadakne Do, A Death in the Gunj, Lipstick Under My Burkha, Dolly, Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitaare, and Haseen Dillruba.
His latest role was in Jio Cinema’s thriller film Blackout earlier this year.
Phir Aayi Haseen Dillruba is a sequel to the 2021 film Haseen Dillruba, starring Taapsee Pannu in the lead role. Sunny Kaushal plays a crucial role in the movie.
Additionally, Vikrant has upcoming releases like Yaar Jigri, Sector 36, The Sabarmati Report, and TME.
