Blake Lively Fully Embraces Her Florist Role, Revealing Personal Passion for Flowers as “It Ends With Us” Release Approaches
Blake Lively has a deep love for flowers, as she recently shared on social media. Prior to the release of her film, It Ends With Us, the actress revealed her passion for floristry and how she always dreamed of becoming a florist.
In an Instagram post on Saturday, July 27, Lively, who will be playing a florist in an upcoming film, shared that she has enjoyed working with flowers since she moved to the city as a teenager to pursue acting. She captioned her post featuring herself surrounded by colorful flowers, saying, “I’ve always felt like I was a florist, even before playing one.” Lively added that she enjoys buying flowers from corner stores, taking them home, rearranging them, and giving them new life. She described the experience as one of her “creative and meditative anchors.”
Lively expressed in her caption that she feels happiest when she gets to garden from scratch or create fresh floral arrangements, which she finds brings her peace.

In her Instagram caption, Lively revealed that some of the pictures in her carousel post are from when she and her co-star Isabela Ferrer arranged flowers for the film It Ends With Us. Ferrer plays a younger version of Lively’s character in the film, Lily Bloom.
The movie is based on the bestselling novel of the same name by Colleen Hoover and is set to premiere in theaters on Aug. 9.
Lively’s character in the film opens a flower shop in Boston after her father’s funeral. Justin Baldoni plays Ryle Kincaid, Lily’s abusive love interest, while Brandon Skelnar portrays Atlas Corrigan, Lily’s teenage love who re-enters her life at a crucial moment in her marriage.
