Billy Ray Cyrus threatens legal action against ex-girlfriend Firerose after dispute
Billy Ray Cyrus‘s first meeting with Firerose occurred while he was taking a break with his dog on the set of Hannah Montana, the popular Disney Channel series he co-starred in with his daughter Miley Cyrus from 2006 to 2011.
“That day, Firerose came out of the front door,” the singer of “Achy Breaky Heart” recounted to People. “There was almost a sense of recognition. I thought, ‘This girl is a star.’
Although Cyrus was unaware of who Firerose, then 22 years old, was at the time, his future fiancé was familiar with him. “Growing up in Australia, my passion for music was above all,” she shared. “I’ve known his music for as long as I can remember.”
At the set for an audition, Cyrus offered to introduce Firerose to the Hannah Montana team and invited her to observe a rehearsal of the show.
“She met many of the cast members, as well as the producers and writers,” he said. “And, in many ways, we became friends.”
