Emmys 2024 Nominations: Full List of Nominees

The 2024 Emmys nominations have been unveiled.

Tony Hale, Sheryl Lee Ralph and Television Academy chair Cris Abrego announced this year’s nominees from the El Capitan Theatre in a ceremony that was livestreamed.

Veep alum Hale is a three-time Emmy winner, two of which were for his role in the HBO political satire. Ralph won the best supporting actress in a comedy series Emmy in 2022 for her role in Abbott Elementary, which she continues to star in on ABC. The show’s third season ended in May, and it has been renewed for season four.

The 76th Emmys are set to air live from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, Sept. 15 from 5-8 p.m. PT / 8-11 p.m. ET on ABC. The Creative Arts ceremonies, where a majority of the Emmy trophies are handed out, are set for Saturday, Sept. 7 and Sunday, Sept. 8. A host for the ABC Emmys ceremony has not yet been named, but Jesse Collins, Dionne Harmon and Jeannae Rouzan-Clay are set to executive produce the telecast for the second year in a row.

The 2023 Emmys actually took place in January 2024, with the ceremony postponed due to the 2023 writers and actors strikes and airing on Monday Jan. 15, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, on Fox. At that event, HBO’s Succession, FX’s The Bear and Netflix’s Beef were the big winners, taking home the top prizes in the drama, comedy and limited series categories, respectively. All three shows also won for writing and directing.

Succession dominated the drama acting categories with Kieran Culkin taking home best actor in a drama series, Sarah Snook winning best drama actress and Matthew Macfadyen winning best supporting actor in a drama series.

The Bear, meanwhile, won best actor (Jeremy Allen White), supporting actor (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) and supporting actress (Ayo Edebiri) in a comedy series, and Beef stars Ali Wong and Steven Yeun took home the lead acting limited series awards.

With the 2023 Emmys honoring Succession’s final season, the drama field will see a new winner this year.

In order to be eligible for the 2024 Emmys, television programming had to air between June 1, 2023 and May 31, 2024.
