Jennifer Aydin from RHONJ Responds to Accusations About Ozempic Weight Loss
Ozempic is no laughing matter for the comedian. Handler shared that her “anti-aging doctor” prescribed the medication to her without her knowledge of what the drug actually was.
“I didn’t even know I was on it,” she mentioned during the Jan. 25, 2023 episode of Call Her Daddy. “She said, ‘If you ever want to drop five pounds, this is good.'”
Although she gave the drug a try, Handler admitted that she didn’t enjoy the way it affected her.
“I returned from a vacation and administered the injection,” she recounted. “A few days later, I went to lunch with a friend who mentioned feeling nauseous because of Ozempic. I realized I was feeling the same way, but I attributed it to jet lag from my trip to Spain.”
Ultimately, Handler decided to discontinue the use of the drug since it wasn’t necessary for her condition. She mentioned that she gave away the remaining doses to her friends.
“I’ve injected about four or five of my friends with Ozempic because I realized I didn’t need it and found it unnecessary,” she explained. “It’s meant for individuals struggling with weight. When people visit my house, I schedule appointments, saying, ‘I can meet you at 1, or I can meet you at 2.'”
