Following her hospitalization, Anne had to postpone or cancel several engagements, including attending a banquet in honor of Japanese Emperor Naruhito and a planned trip to Canada.
After spending five nights in the hospital, Anne, who NBC News confirmed was experiencing memory loss due to an accident believed to be caused by a horse, returned home to continue her recovery.
“I want to express my deepest gratitude to all the staff at Southmead Hospital,” said Anne’s husband, Tim Laurence, in a statement to Reuters on June 28. “Their care, expertise, and compassion during my wife’s brief stay were truly appreciated.”
