Christian McCaffrey responds to Cam Newton’s criticism about not receiving a wedding invitation
Christian McCaffrey has responded to Cam Newton’s comments about not being invited to his wedding.
The former Carolina Panthers quarterback, who played with Christian from 2017 to 2019 and 2021, recently expressed his disappointment at not receiving an invitation to the running back’s wedding to Olivia Culpo on June 29.
“Damn CMAC, I couldn’t get an invite,” Cam Newton said on a podcast clip from July 10. “Typical CMAC looking like James Bond. I wanted to be there, bro. From that photograph, it looked like they needed some color in that motherf–ker anyway.”
Cam jokingly continued to express his resentment at not being invited, saying, “Do I come off as angry? Finally. Like, I’m really bitter. Now somebody can say, ‘you look like you’re bitter bro,’ I am bitter. Well, congratulations Olivia McCaffrey and Christian.”
In response, Christian shared a conversation he had at his wedding with another former Panthers player, Greg Olsen.
