Chhaava: Vicky Kaushal confesses film has pushed him to his limits ‘physically, emotionally’; reveals thoughts on release date
Vicky Kaushal is currently preparing for the release of his comedy film Bad Newz. He also has another highly anticipated movie in his lineup, Chhaava, a period drama directed by Laxman Utekar and starring Rashmika Mandanna. Vicky recently shared that this film was both physically and emotionally challenging for him, making it a special project. He also provided an update on the release date.
Vicky Kaushal enjoyed doing ‘Shakespearean drama’ in Chhaava
In a recent interview with Film Companion, Vicky Kaushal talked about his upcoming movie Chhaava. He described it as a “very special” project that demanded a lot from him physically and emotionally. Vicky expressed his excitement for the film, based on the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, as it presented a new and challenging experience for him. He also mentioned his enjoyment of the “Shakespearean drama” aspect alongside the historical theme of the movie.
Vicky Kaushal reveals Chhaava is currently in post production
During the same interview, Vicky Kaushal revealed that Chhaava is in the post-production stage. While the shooting has been completed, work on editing, visual effects, and music composition by AR Rahman is still ongoing. Vicky expressed his confidence that a release date will be finalized once the post-production process is closer to completion.
Aside from Chhaava, Vicky is also busy promoting Bad Newz, set to be released on July 19, 2024, and working on Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War with Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor.
