Report Reveals: Halle Berry and Glenn Close to headline in Ryan Murphy’s new legal drama
Halle Berry and Glenn Close are teaming up with Kim Kardashian on a new Hulu legal drama called All’s Fair. Originally conceived by Ryan Murphy in December 2023, the show is set in an all-women law agency in Los Angeles. Although their specific roles are still secret, Berry and Close will be executive producers for the series alongside Kardashian.
Glenn Close’s return to legal drama
Glenn is making her return to television legal dramas through this project. She is known for her role as Patty Hewes, the fierce lawyer on FX’s Damages. Close has received two Emmy Awards and a Golden Globe for her performance. In total, she has received 14 Emmy nods and eight Academy Award nominations, including roles in The World According to Garp, Dangerous Liaisons, and Fatal Attraction. She will produce All’s Fair through her Trillium Productions company.
Halle Berry’s rare TV role
For Halle Berry, this is a rare opportunity to play a regular TV role, as she has recently been featured in CBS’ Extant. She made history as the first woman of color to win an Oscar for Best Actress for her role in Monster’s Ball. Berry has also won an Emmy and a Golden Globe for her portrayal of Dorothy Dandridge. Her filmography includes the X-Men saga, Die Another Day, and Jungle Fever.
Star-studded production team
All’s Fair is written and directed by Ryan Murphy and is part of a recent Disney deal he signed after leaving Fox. Other executive producers include Jon Robin Baitz, Joe Baken, Jamie Pachino, Laura Greene, and Richard Levine. Kris Jenner is also a producer on the show, along with Alexis Martin Woodall, Eric Kovtun, Scott Robertson, and Holly Jeter. The series is a collaboration between 20th Television and Ryan Murphy Television.
All’s Fair features a prominent cast and crew, making it a promising addition to Hulu’s lineup.
