Celebrity Kids, including Suri Cruise, Opting to Change Their Last Names
These celebrity kids are embarking on a new journey in life.
Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise‘s daughter Suri Cruise recently announced her new name, choosing to go by Suri Noelle (a nod to her mom’s middle name) at her high school graduation last month.
At 18, Suri is not the only one making a change to her surname as she enters adulthood.
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt‘s daughter Shiloh Jolie-Pitt legally dropped her dad’s last name on her 18th birthday in May, opting to be known as Shiloh Jolie from now on. Similarly, Shiloh’s sister Vivienne Jolie-Pitt, 15, chose to be credited as Vivienne Jolie in the playbill of The Outsiders musical she worked on earlier this year.
Barack Obama and Michelle Obama‘s daughter Malia Obama made a similar decision last year, distancing herself from her family name for a project and using Malia Ann in the credits of her film The Heart.
