Vicky Kaushal’s Reaction to Controversial Joke about Wife Katrina Kaif Revealed by Writer
Karan Johar’s upcoming directorial venture, Bad Newz, will be released on July 19th of this year. The film features Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri, and Ammy Virk in the main roles. The trailer for Bad Newz was recently released on YouTube and it had us laughing.

The Katrina scene left Vicky cracking up more than anyone else on set
In a recent interview with Midday, Bad Newz writer Tarun Dudeja, who co-wrote the film with Ishita Moitra, shared a funny anecdote about that scene. He mentioned that the scene was already in the script and Vicky Kaushal found it hilarious, more than anyone else on set.
“We wanted some Vicky jokes. He laughed more than us at this one. His delivery of the dialogue made it even funnier,” Dudeja said.
In the scene, Vicky delivers a joke about his wife, Katrina Kaif, which had everyone in splits. In the sequence, Vicky and Ammy’s characters are at odds with each other.
Ammy’s character wants to take down Katrina’s poster from the wall, but Vicky’s character jokingly says that he will have to go through him first. “You can’t do it here! You’ll have to step over my dead body,” he says in the trailer.

In the same interview, Dudeja also mentioned how translating humor from paper to screen can be challenging, but he praised the lead actors, Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri, and Ammy Virk, for bringing it to life.
He stated that all three actors have great comic timing and elevated the humor in the script.
The story of Bad Newz revolves around heteropaternal superfecundation, a rare medical condition.
Directed by actor-filmmaker Anand Tiwari, Bad Newz is a spiritual sequel to Raj Mehta’s film, Good Newz. The 2019 movie starred Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Kiara Advani, and Diljit Dosanjh in the lead roles.
