Kim Kardashian and Khloe Kardashian Engage in Fiery Debate While Watching Gypsy Rose Blanchard’s Series Life After Lockup
The ongoing Kardashian family drama continues, this time centering on Khloe and her commitment to her children. Kim Kardashian has been outspoken about her sister Khloe Kardashian’s lack of presence and activity in social settings. The sisters argued while watching the Gypsy Rose Blanchard’s Life After Lockup series.
Kim Kardashian criticizes Khloe for her absence and lack of activity on social media
Throughout this season of The Kardashians, Kim has expressed concern about Khloe’s limited social life, accusing her of being too much of a homebody and rarely going out.
However, Khloe wants to spend time with her children while they are young and still want her around. Despite this, Kim K believes that Khloe has taken it too far. This discussion resurfaced in Thursday’s new episode following a heated argument in the previous episode. Kim was excited about watching Gypsy Rose Blanchard’s Life After Lockup series during dinner. Kim mentioned that she would be meeting Gypsy Rose the following week after making contact with her on social media. She said:
“Gypsy Rose Blanchard was just released from prison. She reached out to me on social media. She’s expressed wanting to get into prison reform, and I think that with what she’s learned being in prison herself, there’s such an opportunity for her to use her platform in a really important way.”
While Kim was talking about it, Khloe abruptly interrupted by answering a FaceTime call from True (Khloe’s daughter) without any warning. According to Kim in a confessional interview, Khloe was so preoccupied with what was happening at home that she couldn’t enjoy herself. All Kim wanted was for Khloe to have a good time and be present during dinner.
Khloe Kardashian defends herself
Kim reluctantly commented about her sister, “She’s just so focused on what’s going on at home that she can’t enjoy herself. We don’t get to do this very often. I just want Khloe to savor the dinner, live in the moment, and be present with us.” Kris Jenner also expressed her frustration with Khloe agreeing with the Skims founder. She said, “I’m not taking sides, but Kim has a point. Put down your phone, we’re all here.”
However, Khloe Kardashian had a response. She sarcastically remarked, “I’m supposed to be more present, but Kim hasn’t looked up from her phone the entire dinner. She’s scrolling through Instagram. Okay, I’ll be more present,” and asked her mom and sister to back off. Khloe complained of feeling constantly attacked and also requested the producers to leave her alone.
Later in the episode, she approached Kim while on the phone with True and asked if the call bothered her. She accused Kimberly, “You’re always saying I prioritize my kids, I spend too much time with them, I never leave the house.” She defended herself by stating that she prioritizes her children’s needs because this time with them is fleeting.
At one point during a trip to the Bahamas, Kim recalled how Khloe panicked because everyone was running ten minutes late. But Khloe dismissed this incident, claiming it happened years ago when True was just a few months old, telling Kim to ‘Get over it.’
Kim argued, “It seems like every time we’re together, she has to take that time away to talk to the kids, and that’s what’s so frustrating.” Kendall Jenner walked in on the argument, echoing what viewers were likely thinking: “Why are we still discussing this?”
Kim admitted that it’s important to be present for their children, but she also mentioned how wonderful it felt to be present with Khloe and live in the moment while they were skiing.
The Kardashians are back with new episodes full of drama, airing every Thursday on Hulu.
