Shawn Levy Reflects on Missed Opportunity to Direct Film in DCEU: Deadpool & Wolverine Director Shares Regrets of What Could Have Been
Shawn Levy, known for his work on Deadpool & Wolverine, was actually supposed to direct a superhero movie before this project.
In a recent interview, Levy revealed that he was offered a chance to direct a movie in the DC Extended Universe, specifically The Flash.
Despite being close to signing the film, Levy ultimately turned it down because he looks for stories worth telling in the movies he chooses to direct.
Levy has worked on several successful projects in the past, including Date Night and Cheaper by the Dozen, and has collaborated with actors like Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman.
After Deadpool & Wolverine, Levy and Reynolds will collaborate on an unnamed Paramount Studios movie.
While Levy regrets passing on the opportunity to direct an X-Men installment in the past, he is excited about his upcoming film release on July 26.
