Blue Ivy Carter Celebrates BET Award Win with Family’s Social Media Congratulations
Blue Ivy Carter has added another award to her collection.
The 12-year-old daughter of Beyoncé and Jay-Z won the YoungStars Award at the 2024 BET Awards. The award honors child and teen entertainers, but it was not presented during the live telecast of the show (and the Carters did not attend the event).
She was in competition for the award with other young entertainers like Akira Akbar, Demi Singleton, and more. The winner was not present at the show.
Beyoncé also won a BET Award for “Texas Hold ‘Em” on the same night.
Blue Ivy will voice Princess Kiara in the upcoming Lion King sequel, Mufasa: The Lion King, marking her feature film debut. The movie is set to release on Dec. 20.
Parkwood Entertainment, Beyoncé’s production and management company, congratulated Blue Ivy on her win.
Tina Knowles, Beyoncé’s mom, also congratulated her granddaughter in the comments section.
Blue Ivy has previously won a BET Her Award, an MTV Video Music Award, a Grammy, NAACP Image Award, and Soul Train Music Award, all for her work on “Brown Skin Girl.” She is also the youngest artist to appear on a Billboard chart.
The 2024 BET Awards were hosted by Taraji P. Henson and included performances by Usher. The event took place in Downtown Los Angeles. Other winners of the night included Victoria Monét, Tyla, and Killer Mike.
