Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce recount their meeting with Prince William and his children
Jason, who shares daughters Wyatt, 4, Elliotte, 3, and Bennett, 15 months with his wife, mentioned that the NFL stars were advised on how to properly greet the royals.
“We did receive a warning,” Jason added. “They informed us that since we weren’t at an official royal event, we didn’t need to bow or curtsy. If it had been an official meeting with royalty, then that would have been necessary. However, I still addressed him as ‘Your Royal Highness.’ It was a unique experience for me, and it was the closest I had ever been.”
Travis agreed, saying, “I have never seen you show that level of respect before – you even placed your beer about ten feet away.”
Overall, the Super Bowl champions were astounded by the experience they had at Taylor’s recent show, particularly when meeting the younger prince and princess.
“Prince William was great, but the highlight was Princess Charlotte,” Jason said. “She was incredibly adorable. I can’t put into words how – maybe it’s because I now have three daughters – she had a spark to her, she was inquisitive. That was the most exhilarating part.”
Similarly, Travis was amazed by how vocal and kind the younger royals were during their encounter.
