Richa Chadha of Heeramandi fame defends Deepika Padukone for wearing heels during pregnancy: ‘Don’t speak on what you don’t understand’
Deepika Padukone and her husband Ranveer Singh are expecting their first child in 2024. The actress has been seen proudly showing off her baby bump and glowing with the joy of pregnancy at various events. Deepika recently attended a promotional event for her upcoming movie Kalki 2898 AD, where she wore high heels.
When an Instagram user criticized her choice of footwear during pregnancy, actress Richa Chadha came to Deepika’s defense with a sharp response.
Richa Chadha responds fittingly to user calling out pregnant Deepika Padukone
On June 19, Deepika Padukone graced the pre-release event of her film Kalki 2898 AD in Mumbai, wearing a stunning black dress and high heels. An Instagram user questioned her decision to wear heels during pregnancy, especially given her height.
In response, another influencer created a reel supporting Deepika, stating that she can make her own fashion choices based on her comfort without needing anyone else’s input.
Pregnant actress Richa Chadha commented under the reel, saying, “no uterus, no gyaan (no uterus, no opinion).”
Richa, who is expecting her first child with husband Ali Fazal, has previously worked with Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone in Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela. She recently collaborated with director Sanjay Leela Bhansali on his OTT series, Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar.
Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh announced their pregnancy in February with a cute animated image hinting at their baby’s arrival in September 2024.
Deepika’s sci-fi film Kalki 2898 AD, co-starring Prabhas and Amitabh Bachchan, is set to release on June 27. She also has the Cop Universe movie Singham Again in her upcoming projects.
