Scooter Braun Announces Retirement from Artist Management After 23 Years

Scooter Braun is making a career change.

After more than 20 years managing artists like Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, and Demi Lovato, the 42-year-old announced his retirement to focus on his role as CEO of entertainment company Hybe America.

“I have been fortunate to have a life like ‘Forrest Gump’ while working with incredibly talented individuals,” Scooter said in a statement to E! News on June 17. “I am amazed at the opportunities I’ve had and the talented people I’ve worked with. After 23 years, my time as a music manager has come to an end.”

Scooter, who has children Jagger, Levi, and Hart with his ex-wife Yael Cohen, also considered his family in his decision.

“For most of my adult life, I was a manager on call 24/7. For 20 years, I enjoyed it. But as my kids grew older and I faced personal challenges, I realized that my children were the real superstars I couldn’t afford to lose. The sacrifices I once made were no longer justifiable,” he added.
