Meghan Markle Shares Heartwarming Moment with Daughter of Hers and Prince Harry
Meghan Markle is experiencing a new perspective on motherhood.
During a visit to the Lightway Academy in Nigeria with Prince Harry on May 10, the Duchess of Sussex shared a heartwarming moment she had with their 2-year-old daughter Princess Lilibet.
“Our daughter, Lili, she’s much, much tinier than you guys,” Meghan told a group of kindergarteners, as reported by People. “She’s about to turn three. And a few weeks ago, she looked at me and she could see herself in my eyes. And she [said], ‘Mama, I see me in you.'”
“She was speaking very literally,” the 42-year-old explained. “But I held onto those words in a different way. And I thought, ‘Yes, I do see myself in you, and you see yourself in me.'”
Seated in the classroom with Harry, she expressed to the students, “As I look around this room, I see a part of myself in each and every one of you as well.”
