T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach Respond to Rob Marciano’s Departure from GMA
Since joining the ABC morning show in 2012, Amy Robach became the host of the post-Good Morning America timeslot after the Pandemic: What You Need to Know series was transformed into GMA3: What You Need to Know.
T.J. Holmes, who joined ABC News in 2014 and quickly became friends with Robach, was then appointed as her co-host.
“You couldn’t have chosen a better person to team up with,” Robach told People, “because we’ve been looking for a way to collaborate for the past five years.”
Robach described Holmes as “like my brother,” noting, “We can finish each other’s sentences. We have a great rapport. It’s so comforting to have that level of trust, which isn’t always present on set. But I know that he’s always got my back, and vice versa, and that’s invaluable.”
Robach also mentioned that she and her husband, Andrew Shue, often went on double dates with Holmes and his wife, Marilee Fiebig.
