Kristen Doute responds to accusations of racism following VPR dismissal
“I know that I made a mistake by involving Michelle in something that didn’t concern her,” she expressed. “However, Jesse is just trying to tarnish my reputation by bringing up the most painful experience I’ve ever had. I can see why Michelle is upset. Being labeled as something, especially a racist, is the worst feeling in the world. I know firsthand because it happened to me and I faced consequences.”
Describing the controversy as “the most difficult period of my life so far,” the host of Sex, Love, and What Else Matters podcast mentioned that she has evolved as a person since being dismissed from VPR.
“I’m not proud of my actions, and I apologize for hurting people,” Kristen admitted. “I have learned from my mistakes. These are my friends here, they are aware of my past, and all I wanted was to move forward, be a better person. People had finally given me a second chance, and now everything is being brought up again. I might have to go through it all over again. I hope my entire life doesn’t fall apart once more.”
