The Kelce Brothers Show Appreciation to Swifties for Their Recent Award
Although New Heights primarily focuses on the Kelce brothers’ lives as NFL players, it also offers a charming glimpse into Taylor and Travis’ relationship. In a July 2023 episode, Travis made a significant comment that played a key role in bringing the football player and Grammy winner together.
“This all began when Travis endearingly called me out on his podcast, which I thought was incredibly cool,” Taylor shared with TIME in December. “We started hanging out shortly after that.”
The particular comment that captivated Taylor enough to meet Travis? During the podcast, the tight end was recounting his experience at the Eras Tour at Arrowhead Stadium, mentioning his regret at not being able to give her a friendship bracelet.
“I was a bit disappointed I couldn’t offer her one of the bracelets I had made for her,” he admitted to his brother on the now-famous New Heights episode. “I wanted to give Taylor Swift one with my contact information on it.”
Although there was some initial confusion as to whether Travis meant his phone number or jersey number, Taylor has since been spotted wearing the latter on a chain around her neck or wrist during game days.
