Halsey Shares Selfie While Battling Endometriosis: “Back in Diapers”
Halsey is showing herself kindness in the midst of a tough period in her health journey.
The singer of “You Should Be Sad” opened up about her struggle with endometriosis when she posted a picture of her stomach covered in multiple bandages. The photo also revealed the waistband of absorbency briefs—often given to patients post-surgery—peeking out from her pink-and-white striped pajamas.
“Back in diapers,” captioned Halsey the selfie on Instagram Story on Feb. 28, “but at least they have little bows.”
While the 29-year-old didn’t disclose more details about her procedure, she expressed gratitude towards Los Angeles-based OBGYN Dr. Thaïs Aliabadi for her exceptional care and expertise.
In a separate post, Halsey added, “endometriosis gang.”
Endometriosis is a chronic condition where tissue resembling the uterus lining grows outside the organ, causing intense pain and challenges with fertility, as outlined by the World Health Organization.
