Katharine McPhee’s 3-Year-Old Son Rennie Shows Off Drumming Skills Onstage in Heartwarming Clip
Katharine McPhee‘s son, Rennie, is showcasing his drumming skills at a young age. The 3-year-old, who is the child of Katharine and husband David Foster, recently made his debut on stage during the couple’s An Intimate Evening with David Foster and Katharine McPhee tour in Washington D.C on Feb. 25.
In an Instagram post on Feb. 26, Katharine shared, “Had a VERY special guest join us on stage for the first time. #ProudMom.”
While Rennie has demonstrated impressive musical talent previously, it’s worth noting that he wasn’t officially performing during his parents’ show. Katharine clarified in a comment, “I hope people realize that JR—the legendary @johnjrrobinson1—our incredible drummer is drumming. Rennie is only copying to the best of his ability unmic’d—and it was cute to watch his first on stage debut.”
Rennie’s talent is not surprising given his parents’ backgrounds. Katharine gained recognition as the runner-up on season five of American Idol and has since released five studio albums while pursuing acting.
