Taylor Swift gives a sweet shoutout to the Chiefs’ Super Bowl 2024 victory
Taylor Swift celebrated boyfriend Travis Kelce and the Chiefs’ latest “trophy” during her first Eras Tour show in Sydney, Australia, on Friday night.
While singing her 2010 single “Long Live,” the 34-year-old pop star gestured towards the Chiefs tight end, also 34, as she sang, “When they gave us our trophies,” following Kansas City’s Super Bowl 2024 win earlier this month.
The lively crowd continued to sing along at Accor Stadium, where Swift will perform three more shows through Monday before heading to Singapore with the Eras Tour.
During the show, Swift altered the lyrics of her song “Karma” to mention Kelce, changing from “The guy on the screen” to “The guy on the Chiefs,” eliciting cheers from the enthusiastic crowd.
After the show ended, Kelce kissed Swift backstage.
The three-time Super Bowl champion arrived in Australia on Thursday, with the couple visiting the Sydney Zoo later in the day.
Prior to their trip to Australia, Swift was in Las Vegas to watch Kelce secure his third Super Bowl victory in five seasons, as the Chiefs beat the 49ers in overtime at Allegiant Stadium, 25-22.
The couple shared a moment on the field during the Lombardi Trophy celebrations.
“I’ve never been so proud in my life,” Swift told Kelce in a hot-mic moment postgame. “I can’t believe you. How did you do that? How did you do it?”
Kelce ended the game with nine receptions for 93 yards.
As Kelce heads into the offseason, it remains to be seen if he will continue to travel with Swift, who will be touring in Europe over the spring and summer months.
She is set to bring the Eras Tour to the U.S. and Canada in the fall.
