Bruce Springsteen performs at Georgia rally in support of Kamala Harris, issues warning about ‘American Tyrant’ Donald Trump
During a rally for Kamala Harris in Georgia, Bruce Springsteen gave a powerful endorsement, stating his support for her presidential campaign in 2024. The iconic singer criticized Donald Trump, calling him a tyrant who aims to control democracy completely.
Prior to Harris’ speech, Springsteen performed his well-known songs The Promised Land and Land of Hope and Dreams. He then explained his decision to back Harris and Tim Walz instead of Trump.
According to TMZ, he said, “Donald Trump is vying to become an American tyrant. He lacks an understanding of this country, its history, and the true essence of being American.”
Springsteen introduced himself and expressed his support for Walz and Harris as the presidential and vice-presidential candidates, highlighting Harris’ commitment to the law, orderly government transition, and women’s rights. He emphasized that “[Harris] aims to create an economy that supports the entire middle class.”
He emphasized that his endorsement reflects his admiration for leaders who uphold the democratic principles of the United States and are dedicated to its unity and democracy.
Springsteen compared the Harris-Walz campaign to Trump’s campaign, stating that Harris has the potential to be the 47th president, while Trump’s goal is dictatorial power that would eliminate democracy.
He concluded by urging, “I’m voting for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz. I encourage all those who believe in the American values to join me.” He believes that Trump is disconnected from America’s values, history, and the true meaning of being an American.
Besides Bruce Springsteen, Kamala Harris has garnered support from celebrities like Eminem, Beyoncé, Julia Roberts, Taylor Swift, and many other high-profile figures, while Trump recently received backing from Mel Gibson. Recently, Barack Obama and Eminem made appearances at a Detroit rally for Vice President Kamala Harris on October 22. Beyoncé is also expected to participate in a rally for Harris in Houston.
