How Mikaela Shiffrin’s Wedding Will Feature Taylor Swift
Taylor might have a significant role to play in their upcoming vows, but the World Cup winner with a record-setting streak finds other ways to bond with her fiancé during their engagement. This includes frequent FaceTime calls when they’re apart and indulging in their love for cooking.
A few years back, Mikaela learned how to make a delicious carbonara dish from a chef at Barilla. She excitedly shared, “I believe both of us share a love for carbonara, it’s our favorite pasta dish, and in fact, our favorite meal overall.” Mikaela is joining forces with her long-time sponsor Barilla for their World Pasta Day celebration on Oct. 25.
The Olympic gold medalist highlighted that they are savoring this phase of their relationship, as they plan to wait until after the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics to officially become husband and wife. Mikaela aims to add another gold medal to her collection while Aleksander, with a history of silver and bronze, looks forward to representing Norway in his fourth Olympic Games.
“Weddings offer an opportunity to create special memories with your loved ones,” Mikaela remarked, underscoring the values of Barilla’s Ticket to Togetherness contest. She expressed, “We want our wedding to be meaningful—we’re not certain about the size, but we both agree on making it a thoughtful event. So, we’re going to take our time.”
