The Influential Role of Bethany Joy Lenz’s Daughter in Leaving a “Cult” After a Decade
In spite of leaving the Big House Family for Rosie’s sake, the actress’s ex-husband, whom she divorced in 2012 after seven years of marriage, recently voiced concerns about her memoir potentially causing issues for their daughter.
“I don’t know how to feel about this memoir after all this time,” Michael expressed to the Daily Mail in an interview published on Oct. 22. “I have a daughter who is incredibly important to me. I don’t want this to impact her. It’s too much. I don’t want to create any problems for her.”
E! News has contacted Bethany’s representatives regarding Michael’s statements but has not yet received a response.
Even so, over ten years since their divorce, Bethany still feels empathy for her ex-husband and the upbringing he had.
“It’s truly sad because he—like the poor guy never had a fair chance,” she shared on an episode of Call Her Daddy. “[He] was raised by this narcissist. He’s pushed into a marriage with a woman who isn’t right for him. He’s doing his best.”
