Dhanush and his ex-wife Aishwaryaa decided to end their 18-year marriage, shocking everyone in 2022. They have two sons together, Linga Raja and Yatra Raja. Today, let’s look back at a time when Dhanush spoke about his ex-wife Aishwaryaa. He mentioned that she is “100 times simpler” than her legendary father, Rajinikanth.
In an old interview with Times of India, Dhanush was asked what drew him to Aishwaryaa and if being Rajinikanth’s daughter was a factor. He denied this, stating, “I like her simplicity. If you think her father is simple, meet Aishwarya. She is 100 times simpler than her father. Aishwaryaa treats everybody as an equal and can be friends with anybody. I like the fact that she is bringing up our sons extremely well.”
Dhanush and Aishwaryaa had an arranged marriage on November 18, 2004, and welcomed their first son in 2006. Two years later, their second son, Linga, was born. Despite their seemingly perfect relationship, they announced their divorce on social media in April 2024 after living separately for some time. They have worked out a schedule to ensure equal time with their sons, who mostly stay with their maternal grandfather, Rajinikanth.
