Flashback: Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s Fierce Reaction to Sacrificing Her Identity for Marriage and Motherhood
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan often makes headlines for both her personal and professional life. The former beauty queen got married to actor Abhishek Bachchan in 2007, and the couple has a daughter named Aaradhya Bachchan. During a press conference for their international tour, The Unforgettables, post-marriage, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was asked about losing herself after marriage. Abhishek, sitting next to her, chose not to answer the question. Aishwarya responded by saying, “I am looking forward to having babies. I am enjoying my marriage. There’s no question of losing myself to it.”
In a 2022 interview with Indian Express, Abhishek Bachchan was asked if he has ever helped his daughter Aaradhya with her homework. He called his wife, Aishwarya Rai, the “world’s best teacher” and mentioned that she takes care of it.
Aishwarya and Abhishek welcomed their daughter, Aaradhya, in 2011. Despite rumors of separation, Aishwarya was seen wearing her wedding ring at the Paris Fashion Week in France last month.
On the professional front, Aishwarya Rai was last seen in Mani Ratnam’s 2023 film, Ponniyin Selvan: II. She is known for her roles in movies like Devdas, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, Josh, Taal, Mohabbatein, Humara Dil Aapke Paas Hai, Jazba, and more.
Aishwarya and Abhishek have appeared together in movies such as Guru, Raavan, Dhoom 2, Kuch Naa Kaho, Dhai Akshar Prem Ke, and Umrao Jaan.
Abhishek Bachchan made his debut with Refugee in 2000, alongside Kareena Kapoor. His other notable films include Bunty Aur Babli, Manmarziyaan, Dostana, Zameen, Bob Biswas, Haan…Maine Bhi Pyaar Kiya Hai, Sarkar, Bol Bachchan, Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna, Housefull 3, and Dasvi, among others.
Abhishek is now returning to the Housefull series and will be seen in Housefull 5 alongside Akshay Kumar. The comedy film also stars Riteish Deshmukh, Fardeen Khan, Sanjay Dutt, Chunky Panday, Sonam Bajwa, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Nargis Fakhri. Directed by Tarun Mansukhani, the film is set to release on June 6, 2025.
