Full 911 Call Released in Liam Payne Death Investigation
The “For You” singer—who shared son Bear Grey Payne with ex Cheryl Cole—had originally risen to fame as a member of One Direction alongside Horan, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik when the five were put together on The X factor.
Shortly after his death, his band members expressed their grief.
“We’re completely devastated by the news of Liam’s passing,” the joint statement posted to One Direction’s Instagram Oct. 17 read. “In time, and when everyone is able to, there will be more to say. But for now, we will take some time to grieve and process the loss of our brother, who we loved dearly.”
“The memories we shared with him will be treasured forever,” they continued. “For now, our thoughts are with his family, his friends, and the fans who loved him alongside us. We will miss him terribly.”
The statement ended with a note to their bandmate, saying, “We love you Liam.”
